I am currently a Ph.D student in Information and Computer Science at the University of California, Irvine, enrolled in the Networked Systems Program. I am an “Anteater for life” (UC Irvine mascot), having received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Information and Computer Science from UC Irvine, in 2003 and 2007. In between my undergraduate and graduate studies, I worked in the wireless industry for Qualcomm as a Software Engineer and did a number of engineering internships in high-tech companies during college years. These days, I am a part-time Product Engineer at Cisco.
At heart, I am an engineer, a technology researcher, and an entrepreneur. Beyond computer science, I have a number of other interests, both professionally and socially. I like carrying out conversations with people, talk about new technologies, innovative ideas and business ventures, personal finance, as well as other areas including dancing, food, and inspirational things about the world in large (e.g. TED). And I love trying out new adventures! For recreation, I enjoy Ballroom & Latin dancing, in particular Tango, playing basketball, and outdoor activities such as hiking.
I am grateful to have meet some wonderful mentors in life who have provided invaluable learning capacities and wisdom for me. Here are a few quotes that I highly value, and I try to live my life with these quotes in mind.
“Happiness keeps you Sweet,”
“Sorrow keeps you Human,”
“Failures keep you Humble,”
“Success keeps you Glowing.”
